Common questions
Which plan fits my archive?
Check both the size of each file and your total workspace storage:
- Free: 1 GB per file; 1 GB storage.
- Starter: 2 GB per file; 5 GB storage.
- Pro: 5 GB per file; 20 GB storage.
- Team: 50 GB per file; 50 GB storage.
- Enterprise: 100 GB per file; 100 GB storage per user.
A 12 GB PST fits Team's file limit. Its indexed messages and attachments must also fit your remaining storage. Compressed files can expand during import; file size alone does not guarantee a successful import.
What happens to my Free archive after 30 days?
Your archive stays stored. Full-text search and new uploads pause after your earliest archive reaches 30 days, once the final warning has given you at least two days to act. Warnings are normally scheduled 10 days and 2 days before that deadline; late warnings or an active trial can postpone the pause. Your account notice shows your date.
You can still browse subjects, senders and dates. Email export requires a paid plan. An active paid subscription restores search and uploads without re-uploading, within that plan's limits. Search allowances can apply when a Pro trial ends, before the day-30 pause.

What file formats does Evermail support?
Evermail supports .mbox, PST, EML, Google Takeout (zip), and Outlook exports. You can upload individual files or entire archive exports. No conversion required.
Where is my data stored?
All data is stored on EU infrastructure hosted in Azure EU regions. Your data never leaves the EU and is fully GDPR compliant.
What happens to my data if I cancel?
If you cancel a paid plan, you get a 30-day export grace period to download all your emails in EML or MBOX format. After that grace period, data is permanently deleted. This paid-account offboarding process is separate from the Free access pause, which retains your archive.
Can I upgrade or downgrade my plan at any time?
Yes, you can change your plan at any time. Upgrades take effect immediately. Downgrades take effect at the end of your current billing period.
Do you offer discounts for yearly billing?
Yes! Yearly billing saves you 2 months (approximately 17% off). Switch between monthly and yearly using the toggle above.
What is the MCP API endpoint?
Evermail exposes a Model Context Protocol (MCP) endpoint so AI assistants like Claude, GPT, and others can search your email archive directly. Available on Starter plans and above.
Is there a custom or on-premise option?
